The Silver Star Design Centre
A curated design showroom, studio, and community space in the heart of Silver Star Mountain Village.

The Silver Star Design Centre was created to support homeowners, property managers, and builders in making confident, informed decisions about their mountain homes, whilst they are physically on the mountain.
It is a place to explore materials, furnishings, lighting, and art in a thoughtful, cohesive way, considering functionality, longevity, and wellbeing rather than trends or impulse.
Every element within the Design Centre is selected through the lens of mountain environments — durability, comfort, performance, and aesthetic longevity — supporting homes that are meant to be lived in, season after season.
The Silver Star Design Centre is open to walk-in visitors, homeowners, and guests exploring the village. It also serves builders and property managers providing a shared, professional environment where conversations, decisions, and collaboration can happen more clearly and more easily.
Some people arrive with a renovation or furnishing project in mind. Others stop in out of curiosity and find themselves in conversation about their homes, travel, life on the mountain, and the many paths that bring people to Silver Star.
In a close-knit community, those moments of exchange matter. They build trust, surface real needs, and often shape design work long before a project is ever discussed.
A Place to Discover… and Take Home
While the Design Centre is not a traditional retail store, many visitors do purchase pieces directly from the space.
Artisan works at the Design Centre are part of that exploration. The pieces on display are thoughtfully selected, and their stories – why they were created – what inspired them, and how they connect to place, are often shared in person.
The story behind a piece is what creates connection and meaning.
Lighting, art, furnishings, and fixtures have found homes not only throughout the Okanagan, but as far away as Australia. Artwork can be removed from frames and carefully rolled for travel, and fragile items are packaged with care for safe transport.
Whether you are local, visiting for the week, or traveling internationally, the Centre is designed to make thoughtful design accessible beyond the mountain.
Whether someone arrives with a clear project in mind or simply to explore what is possible, the goal remains the same, to provide clarity, reduce overwhelm, and support decisions that feel right over time.
The Design Centre serves homeowners, seasonal residents, builders, and designers alike, offering a shared reference point where ideas are grounded in real materials, real environments, and lived experience.
Touch, compare, and evaluate materials, finishes, and fixtures selected for durability, performance, and long-term aesthetic value in mountain environments.
A professional studio setting for thoughtful discussions around layout, lighting, furnishings, and how a space is meant to function and feel.
Curated art, lighting, and objects shown in real design contexts—helping clients understand scale, placement, and emotional impact.
Support for informed decisions early in the process, reducing uncertainty, revisions, and costly changes during construction or installation.
As the Silver Star Design Centre continues to grow, the intention is to introduce a small, curated retail offering focused on health, wellness, and holistic living at home.
Rather than décor for décor’s sake, future offerings may include thoughtfully chosen items that support rest, ritual, and daily wellbeing—objects that quietly shape how life is experienced in a space.
These may include:
- Textiles and sleep-related items
- Books and objects that encourage reflection and connection
- Sensory elements such as lighting, scent, and natural materials
- Select small appliances or tools that support mindful, health-forward living
Each piece will be chosen with the same lens as the design work itself: function, longevity, and how it contributes to a well-lived home. We are looking for suggestions from owners and property managers about what items are most needed.
The Design Centre reflects a broader philosophy – that good design is not limited to renovations or large investments. It also lives in the small, daily choices that shape comfort, mood, and experience.
Whether you leave with a floor plan, a piece of art, a book, or a small object that subtly changes how you use your space, the goal is the same: to support more intentional living at home.
Design is not just how a space looks — it’s how life unfolds within it.
